Terms of Service

By installing or using Pinpourri (the Chrome Extension and associated web service), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please uninstall the extension and don't use the service.

1. The service

Pinpourri lets you pin contextual notes onto web pages. It is provided in two tiers:

  • Free — Notes stored locally in your browser. No account required.
  • Pro — Cloud sync, collaboration, and live updates. Requires an account and a paid subscription (billed to the project owner only).

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide a valid email address. You may not share your account or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Pinpourri for any lawful purpose. You may not:

  • Use the service to harass, defame, or harm others.
  • Post content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes third-party rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API.
  • Use the service to store or transmit malware or harmful code.

4. Your content

Notes and project data you create ("Your Content") remain yours. By using the Pro tier, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit Your Content solely to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You are responsible for the content of your notes and for ensuring you have the right to share any content with collaborators you invite.

5. Collaboration

When you invite someone to a project as a collaborator, they will be able to view all notes on that project and add their own. Collaborators may also resolve or reopen notes. Project owners can remove collaborators at any time.

Only the project owner needs a Pro account. Invited collaborators may use the free tier.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your payment card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at [email protected].

7. Availability

We aim to keep Pinpourri available and bug-free, but we do not guarantee uptime or error-free operation. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pinpourri and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or business interruption.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Pinpourri after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
